A group of ex pupils and staff decided it was time for action when they found out the old Noel-Baker school was being pulled down.
They wanted a reminder of their happy school days and felt that a clock to note the “passing of time” would be a good idea. The group raised just over £2000, with many of the contributions being donated from former pupils. With the modern age of social media, news spread fast and donations were even received from Canada and Australia.
The colours of the clock were chosen to match the old school uniform, twelve red dots increasing in size to represent the numbers and striped yellow and grey hands.
