Clock Tower for School Development

New schools are being built across the City of Glasgow, including in the district of Dalmarnock. At the heart of the campus is a clock tower, with the two clock dials being fabricated and installed by James Ritchie Clockmakers. Originally approached in 2017 when the project was in an early stage, the James Ritchie team worked alongside the construction contractors to ensure that the client’s desire for a bespoke clock tower was delivered. Kinburn Museum Dial Restoration

The coastal town of St. Andrews in Fife, Scotland, is famous for a number of things and has a museum dedicated to the town’s history. Located in the beautiful Kinburn House, within the grounds of Kinburn Park, the museum is also home to two eye catching clock dials which have recently been restored by Smith of Derby Group member, James Ritchie Clockmakers. Craiginches Community Garden Clock

HM Prison, Craiginches, Aberdeen is a historic site for a number of reasons and that history has not been forgotten in its recent development. As part of the development, James Ritchie & Son clockmakers were approached to prepare the original prison clock dial, so it could be apart of the community garden at the Scottish site. The former prison was the place where Henry John Burnett was hung in 1963, which happened to be the last hanging in Scotland.
