The newly launched roastery and bake hall at Harrods.
Here you might wish to linger a little longer than normal for a coffee break. The monumental transformation of the historic Harrods Food Halls is underway, and the first phase – the Roastery and Bake Hall – is now open. Aptly described as a taste revolution the new destination provides the ultimate sanctuary for food lovers to see and smell, touch and taste. And it is worth not being in too much of a hurry as the surroundings may be enjoyed as much as what is on offer.
At the heart of the Art Deco inspired refurbishment is a new Smith of Derby clock. New in two ways: it has a unique dial design inspired by a watch owned by one of the Harrods Food Directors, and it embodies our latest hassle-free smart drive timekeeping technology. This is simply a connect-and-go system, with complete “hands-off” time setting for initial set-up, summer/winter changes and any interruption in power supply.

Exclusive Roast & Bake Clock Design
James Armishaw, Smiths Technical Sales Engineer, said: ‘We’re delighted Harrods chose Smith of Derby to design, manufacture and install an interior clock for their Roast & Bake. We think the design makes a super addition to the space and fits in beautifully with the scheme as a whole.’
To spend a little time there yourself, the Roast and Bake Hall is close to the entrance on Basil Street and the opening hours are 7.00am until 10.00pm every day.
