Its been another busy month at Smith of Derby including a wedding and another apprentice joining the company, which is all included in this team focused addition of news time!
New team member…
We are delighted to confirm the start of our next apprentice. This week Jack Biggin, pictured below, joins the Smith of Derby team and our award-winning ‘apprenticeship program’. Jack follows in the footsteps of our hugely successful team of young clockmakers.
Jack schooled with our own Mitch Eaton and has many fond memories of Mitchell making him laugh in his school days which we are sure that will continue in their working life together.

Our customer service manager Tony Charlesworth ‘tied the knot’ recently the gorgeous Rie at St Mary’s Church, Ilkeston. We wish them all the very best for their future together!

The office team will have enjoyed the company recently a young lady from the University of Derby, Silvia Marabelli. Sylvia was an International Business post-graduate who has helped us with market and opportunity research into the global hotel development industry.
Silvia was with us on a temporary assignment and she wrote to Sam to thank everyone for their good wishes as she returns to work in Milan. We of course wish Silvia the very best of luck for her future back in Italy!
