GDPR and our clients

May 24, 2018 Data, Security

Friday 25 May is GDPR day and Smith of Derby are fully prepared.

Our mission is to look after your clocks, and that extends to how we look after all the data we use to make contractual arrangements with you. We can honestly say that the information we hold has only ever been used in the course of business with our customers. It is in all our interests to keep it secure.

For everyone already on our database and with whom we currently do business, there will be no changes to the way we do business with you. If that information requires updating, it will be done under the new GDPR terms, as will the recording of data from new clients.

If you are happy with the present arrangements by which we contact you, there is no need to do anything. But please let us know if you require any amendment or deletion. Your information belongs to you, not us, so do contact us.

You’ll find our updated privacy notice on our website: http://www.smithofderby.com/data-protection/
